Annisa Wins Straw Poll By a Whopping 75 Percent
Clean water and beach access were hot topics in Lehigh acres at a political town hall that gave voters the opportunity to express their preferences in a straw poll.
Florida Senate candidate Annisa Karim beat her general election opponent Kathleeen Passidomo by a whopping 75 percent to 25 percent.
Annisa is running in Senate District 28, which includes all of Colllier and Hendry counties and southeastern Lee County, including Lehigh Acres. High on her list of priorities is solving the various water-related disasters the state faces.
Who is responsible for the green slime oozing into our rivers from Lake Okeechobee? It’s not a naturally occurring phenomenon. It’s manmade. Thank Gov. Rick Scott for rolling-back environmental protections, and Passidomo for serving as his handmaiden in that effort.
Red Tide? All that blue-green algae dies when it pours into the Gulf of Mexico and feeds the Red Tide. Which is why critics have started calling Scott “Red Tide” Rick.
Who wants to go to the beach with dead fish littering the shores?
Well, under new legislation sponsored by Passidomo and signed by Scott, it will be harder for Floridians and tourists to visit the beach anyway. Passidomo’s legislation turns the tide on decades of Florida law that made beach access a right for everyone. It is another of her mistakes that needs to be reversed, and that’s why this election is so important.
To do that, she needs your help.
